Walls are usually built with CMU block.
They may be functional such as retaining walls, or they may be
for architectural effect, such as boundary or fence walls which
include buttressed walls, gates and arches. Block walls can be
covered with a veneer such as stucco or stucco stone or they
may be decorated with decorative wall caps such as fancy brick
caps along the top of the wall. Sometimes brick walls have decorative
bonds. Decorative glass block walls can also be built.
